Hi, I'm Allen — a student who likes turning ideas into things that actually run. This blog collects my experiments and notes on self-hosting, AI tools, and whatever I've been thinking about lately.

Most posts fall into three buckets: homelab and self-hosted services, like Vaultwarden and Open WebUI behind Cloudflare Tunnel; hands-on notes on AI tooling, lately mostly around Claude Code; and the occasional detour — learning techniques, anime, thought experiments.

The site itself is one of the projects: the first version was a Jekyll blog I hacked together with Claude Code over a summer (here's the write-up), and it has since been rebuilt on Next.js, where the tinkering continues.

Away from the terminal, I like wandering around with a camera, chasing light.
